The campus life is good. Apart from the academic curriculum, students can participate in various events organized by the different clubs. The college also conducts several sports events. The institute organizes workshops where students can participate and learn new technologies to enhance their skills. A good gender ratio is maintained in college admissions. However, the students face a bit of constraint because of the temporary campus.
The infrastructure at the National Institute of Technology, Meghalaya, is good. The NIT Meghalaya is built on 300 acres of land. The place is pollution-free and green, with many on-campus facilities. The classrooms are good, and the labs are well equipped with all the necessary equipment. The hostels are good with good quality food. The NIT Meghalaya campus has an extensive library with over 13,000 books in various disciplines of Arts, Science, Humanities, Engineering, and Technology. Any institute member, be it students, faculty, or staff members, can avail of these books at any time. The institute also has a collection of journals and other materials that they can refer to for academic and research purposes.
